Given how bat-guano crazy Texans go over even the most minor Whataburger-related occurrences—the release of spicy Whataburger ketchup, the announcement that said ketchup would be carried in H-E-B stores, the feeding frenzy that inevitably takes place whenever some cubicle hero brings a bag of taquitos into the office in the morning—this latest Whataburger news should have people foaming at the mouth.

In celebration of what would have been founder Harmon Dobson's 100th birthday, the Texas burger chain is offering $1 original Whataburgers today between 5 and 8 p.m. (Bet you didn't even know Whataburger's founder was named Harmon Dobson, did you, you terrible Texan?)

To get your $1 Whataburger, you'll need to complete a series of simple steps. First, visit Whataburger's Facebook page. Then click the little button under the $1 Whataburger picture that says "Get Offer." A coupon will be sent to your email address. Print it out. Take it to your local Whataburger between 5 and 8 p.m. tonight.

While no additional purchase is required, you'll need to pay tax on that $1 Whataburger (YES, EVEN WITH THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN STILL IN EFFECT), so bring an extra 8 cents and some patience—you know the lines are going to be long.
