The man behind one of houston's swankiest restaurants, Bludorn, is teaming up with Lankford Grocery and Market to bring residents a special weekend-long menu. The spot, known for its burgers and homestyle breakfastwill be welcoming an exclusive dish from Chef Aaron Bludorn as a part of Resy’s Classic Remix series, where chefs from all over pay tribute to their city’s most classic restaurants.

Lankford Market & Grocery in Houston.

Lankford Grocery and Market was created in 1937 from a converted garage, and it has since been owned and operated by the Lankord family. According to the provided statement, Bludorn says that no other restaurant captures the true culture of a city than the decades-old burger joint. “For me, Lankford Grocery is that place in Houston,” says the chef. “I feel that this restaurant explains where Houston is today, and the growing interest of this city compared to 60-years-ago when it first opened. It reminds us of what was, rather than what is. I always admire a restaurant that remains tethered to its original character, yet somehow gets better with age.”

The special menu will feature Bludorn’s beef short rib burger with jalapeño mayonnaise, caramelized red onions and redneck cheddar. On the side, guests can enjoy the chef’s Moroccan-spiced curly fries with harissa aioli for dipping, and for dessert, the restaurant’s famous cheesecake with thyme and fig jam.

The Classic Remix weekend will be held November 5-7. Houstonians wanting to take pleasure in Chef Bludorn’s meal can use the Resy app to make reservations for either dine-in or take-out orders. Reservations for the general public opened on October 13 and will close once sold out.
