A New Upscale Female-Owned Bar and Social Club Is Coming to the Heights This Summer

Best Regards, a new elevated cocktail bar and social lounge concept is coming to shake up the nightlife landscape.
The restaurant is owned and run by commercial real estate professional and native Houstonian, Morgan Hansen. Hansen said her knowledge of real estate helped her acquire the property at 222 W. 11th Street—the former home of Chivos—and put her own unique spin on it. “I’m very excited to bring a new, elevated bar experience to the Heights and deliver premium cocktails in a beautifully designed space,” Hansen said of Best Regards.

Hansen said the concept of Best Regards was born out of her experiences both as a world traveler and her passion for tasting new cuisines and elevated nightlife. She said her hopes are for Best Regards to be an “elegantly cool day-to-night spot for drinks and tapas that Houston has yet to see,” Hansen told Houstonia.
Best Regards’ menu features an extensive tapas list, as well as “light to medium shareable plates” that adapt from day to night, so it’s ideal whether you’re out for brunch or on the hunt for something tasty on a late night. For drinks, the bar will offer cocktails, champagne, wine, and mocktails.. Paired with an uplifting ambiance, the bar’s core influence is centered around intimate conversation. A release notes that Best Regards is “anchored by a central, indoor bar” that will “channel glamor mixed with intimate seating vignettes built for conversation.” The covered and air conditioned patio outside will also make for great seating on summer nights. “Best Regards came to me because the atmosphere we’re creating is a place to sign-off from work activities and just sit back, relax and enjoy great cocktails and an ambiance to match,” Hansen said.
Nestled on 11th Street, Best Regards will be in good company, joined by a handful of other bustling restaurants and bars, including Eight Row Flint, Trattoria Sofia, and Loro. What will set the 5,000-square-foot cocktail bar apart from the rest, is an ever-changing rotation of international DJs and live music. With the help of nightlife veterans, Best Regards plans to deliver an all-day experience “like no other.”
“We are very excited to showcase the team’s hard work and bring an electric energy to this prolific intersection of the Heights,” Hansen said.
Best Regards is located at 222 W. 11th Street, and is slated to open late spring early summer.
