Sugar Land Town Center is getting some fresh new tenants to spruce up the suburban hot-spot.
The community center recently announced the addition of Mahesh's Kitchen, a family-oriented Indian restaurant, and now, the popular handheld chicken and waffles concept Chick'n Cone is making its way to the area. The fast-casual concept, known for its creative spin on the soul food staple, made its Houston debut in The Heights just last year.
The resturant's unique menu consist of hand-rolled waffle cones with crispy, chicken strips that can be doused in an assortment of six sauces, like the signature Cinna-Maple and spicy Buffalo Blue. Included also are Waffle Crunch Shakes, Chick’nTenders, the Chick’nSandwich alongside fries, soda, and beer on tap.
Starting out as a food truck in New York, the restaurant has quickly expanded across the United States and Dubai. The forthcoming Sugar Land location makes the second restaurant stationed in the Houston area.
"We are ecstatic to expand to Sugar Land and open our first ‘suburban’ concept in Sugar Land Town Square,” says Aaron Havens, COO of Chick’n Cone. "This vibrant and pedestrian-friendly district is perfect for our grab-and-go waffle cones and we look forward to engaging with the Sugar Land community."
Chick'n Cone's Sugar Land location will be located at 2268 Texas Drive near CityWalk Drive, adjacent to Guru Burgers & Crepes.
