Here's What Houston Was Up to Last Week, November 1

The World's Biggest Bounce House came to Houston last week, at Aveva Stadium. 

While October quickly came and left, the autumnal month left Houstonians with some cool weather. In the last week of October, Houstonians got to experience another win from the Houston Astros, the world's biggest bounce house and Burna Boy and Ari Lennox in concert at the Good Vibes Only Music Festival. Houston celebs also joined in the October festivities with some impressive Halloween costumes.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner wages a southern bet with Atlanta Mayor.


In honor of the World Series, Mayor Turner is placing a competitive bet with his mayoral counterpart, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. According to a press release, if the Atlanta Braves lose, Bottoms will wear an Astros jersey and send Turner a few of her favorite Atlanta-based treats, and a hammer from Home Depot in honor of Hank Aaron.

World's biggest bounce house comes to Houston.


The Big Bounce America claims the Guinness World Record for the largest bouncy castle.   The impressive feat made its way to Houston, spanning across 13,000 square feet at Aveva Stadium

Megan Thee Stallion dresses up as Pinhead for Halloween.


The Houston Hottie has made it known how much she loves dressing up in some of her favorite characters, and this year, Megan Thee Stallion donned an impressive Hellraiser's Pinhead costume. 

Mattress Mack bets big on the Houston Astros in the World Series.


The Houston furniture store owner is not only a huge Astros fan, but also set to win $38.9 million if his bets on the team pay off. Customers who bought certain mattresses from his flagship furniture store that cost $3,000 or more will get their money back if the Astros win.

Good Vibes Only HTX Festival features Burna Boy, Ari Lennox and Monaleo.


Hosted at Stampede, the show featured headliners Burna Boy, and Ari Lennox, as well as local acts such as Monaleo, OG Ron C and The Chopstars, and a reunion of the Houston All-Stars, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Lil Keke. 

The Astros trailing in the World Series.


 The Houston Astros lost against the Atlanta Braves on Friday, and won Sunday, leaving the home team trailing in the World Series, 3-2. The Astros go head to head with the Braves tomorrow to potentially even the score.

Bun B announces his instructor residency for Reading With a Rapper.


Bun B has partnered with Reading With a Rapper and announced his teaching residency with Fleming Middle School in HISD this upcoming semester, where he will serve as a cultural instructor.
