Each standing over 10.5 feet tall and weighing over 12,000 pounds, your favorite monster trucks are revving up their engines to return to Houston on October 22 for a day of supercharged fun at the NRG stadium. Dubbed the world’s largest monster truck tour since its inception in the 1980s, Monster Jam is celebrating its 30th anniversary by touring its skilled drivers across the nation to perform the most epic battles on the dirt.
This year’s lineup includes some of the tour’s most infamous monster trucks like Gravedigger (celebrating its 40th anniversary), Megalodon, Avenger, and Sun-uva Digger. This exhibition will also feature a sibling rivalry with five-time World Finals Champion, Adam Anderson, driving behind the wheel of Gravedigger against his brother, Ryan Anderson, three-time World Finals champion and driver of Sun-uva Digger.
As usual, there will be a pre-event pit party, where fans can get up close and personal with the massive trucks and drivers. Entry to the party requires a separate “Pit Party Pass”, but it’s worth it to watch all live interviews, participate in Q&As, and take lots of pictures.

The main event of the night will consist of racing competitions along the course, wheelie skills challenges, donut competitions, and the freestyle segment where drivers are encouraged t pull out all the big stunts. Unlike other sports, fans aren’t solely onlookers when it comes to scoring. Monster Jam allows you to take judging into your own hands by submitting your scores following each competition/event via their official app, Judges Zone.
Fans can now purchase tickets, which start at $20 and range up to $115. Entry for the pit party, beginning at 2:30 p.m., can be added on for an additional $20. (If you’re a super-fan, you can get early access to the party for $35.)
Won’t be in town for the October show? Monster Jam will return to Houston’s NRG Stadium in January and February of 2023.
