Holly Beretto has been a regular contributor to Houstonia since 2014, covering the arts, books, education, retail, and food. She is the author of Christ as the Cornerstone: 50 Years of Worship at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Holly has a master's in communication with an emphasis in journalism from St. Louis University and a bachelor's in mass communication and a minor in professional writing from Franklin Pierce University, where she served as Pierce Magazine’s editor-in-chief. Her career spans nearly every facet of communications and marketing, including television news production, event planning, media and public relations, non-profit marketing and communication strategy, and corporate storytelling. She also has an expertise in wine (Holly worked as a wine steward for 10 years at Central Market, and is always available to help with the perfect pairing).
An avid bookworm, Holly enjoys British murder-mystery TV series, tiki drinks, spending time with loved ones, and cruising the world with her husband, the love of her life.
