When their teachers ask them what they did this summer, 30 Houston kids will now be able to say they went shopping...with Clint Capela.

With his CC15 Foundation, the star Rocket partnered with Reliant to host the inaugural Back 2 School program last weekend, because why should James Harden get to have all the fun?

Capela selected 30 kids from single-parent homes similar to his own—his experience growing up with a single mom and being in and out of foster care inspired him to start the CC15 Foundation, which provides opportunities and resources to children in foster care and those with low-income single parents—earlier this year.

The kids and their mentors from Big Brothers Big Sisters joined Capela for Saturday morning breakfast tacos at Lupe Tortilla, where he made the rounds to chat with them one-on-one. Each child was also gifted a bag filled with school supplies, swag, and a $300 gift card to Walmart to help kick off the upcoming school year.

Perhaps best of all, Capela joined the kids on their surprise shopping spree, where he personally helped them pick out clothes and supplies. Talk about upping your street playground cred.
