Whisky is for winter, and gin’s had its moment. But at Boheme, an upscale restaurant and bar in the lively Montrose neighborhood, the cocktail menu is ever-changing, and each bartender has developed a one-of-a-kind drink that uses local, small-batch producer Dripping Springs vodka as its base. The crisp, unadulterated spirit, distilled in the Texas Hill Country with non-GMO corn from the Midwest and local mineral-rich water, even uses hand-zested Texas citrus for its orange vodka. The bartenders love the purity of the spirit when mixing craft cocktails, as it allows the best of summer’s fruits and herbs to really sing.
Visit Boheme during happy hour for the month of July and try one of these unique and beguiling drinks on the patio, in the 6,000-quare foot garden adorned with Shona sculptures from Zimbabwe, or in the restaurant’s romantic, eclectic old-world interior with antique light fixtures and original, exposed brick walls. Any of these refreshing cocktails will pair well with a menu of shareable bites like the Vietnamese Fries or a charcuterie plate, or one of their exotic pizzas with toppings like truffle mushrooms or bourbon and sage caramelized Fuji apples.
