Abstract art, handcrafted jewelry, pottery and wooden treasure boxes are just a few of the unique items you’ll find at this year’s Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center. The FREE, juried art show offers visitors an opportunity to shop for unique art and handcrafted pieces created by local artists and artisans.
Local artists from Pearland, Houston and the surrounding area are featured at the curated market showcasing a variety of work ranging from art on canvas to photography to handcrafted jewelry, pottery, candles, soap, leather goods and more.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion will include several new features this year including a singer/songwriter showcase on the live music stage presented by Kroger. Pearland’s own BAKFISH Brewing Company will be on-site the entire weekend selling their handcrafted beers and offering a selection of wines.
The popular, Pearland Nacho Nachos food truck will be part of the food truck line-up. Adults and kids alike can take advantage of FREE, paint instruction classes at the pop-up paint studio with classes scheduled throughout the weekend.
The Kid’s Interactive station from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days will feature take-home crafts by Keep Pearland Beautiful on Saturday and Global Organization for Divinity on Sunday.
Renowned artist Ange Hilz will produce a live painting on Saturday between 1 and 4 p.m. featuring a one-of-a-kind piece of art on canvas commemorating the 125th anniversary of Pearland in 2019. Ange is a young artist currently living in the Houston area. Ange has been painting for the majority of his life, his ability to convey his emotions and thoughts through the use of paint and canvas is impeccable.
Presented by the Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau, the 5th Annual Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion promises shoppers another year unique finds and activities celebrating art.
