Located along the shores of Lake Livingston, just north of Houston, lies one of the premier overnight camps in Texas, YMCA Camp Cullen. The focus at Camp Cullen is on camper belonging, achievement and choice. This isn't a one-size-fits-all type of summer camp, but instead, designed for kids who have different personalities, interests and backgrounds. Campers, ages 5-17, get to pick from a variety of activities, including horseback riding, water sports, zip-lining, geology, pottery and much more. The staff is highly trained, giving parents the peace of mind that their kids are in good hands. Many of the counselors grew up attending Camp Cullen themselves, while others are recruited from all over the globe, offering campers a unique cultural experience. In addition to the many fun and challenging activities, our “Best in Class” camp teaches the character values of the YMCA, caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith in a safe, nurturing environment.
