Check off your holiday shopping list while supporting local vendors offering one-of-a-kind gift items at the Mouse King Market. While you shop, kids can take ballet lessons or make a craft with characters from The Nutcracker. Clear Lake Christmas Boat Parade A Clear Lake tradition for 60 years, this lighted boat parade begins at 6 p.m. and travels from Clear Lake to Galveston Bay. Holiday photoscape at League Park

Historic League Park is known for looking like the setting of a Hallmark movie and is a popular locale for photoshoots and family portraits. Take a festive photo by the greenery-draped gazebo or in front of the holiday-themed photoscape, starting November 27. For a family photo that’s oh-so-sweet, stop by South Shore Harbour and take a pic in front of the enormous gingerbread house, which will be unveiled November 18. It’s made with nearly 400 pounds of gingerbread and adorned with elaborate confectionary details.
