Global commercial real estate investment and management firm Brookfield Properties recently completed the final phase of the Reimagining of Allen Center back in March of this year, which has entirely transformed Allen Center into a premier destination for more than just work. The campus now boasts a high-end localized hotel, multiple premium dining destinations, up-scale retail establishments, as well as top-notch amenities for office tenants.

A new attraction for downtown goers to explore is The Acre at Allen Center. This vibrant one-acre greenspace, features five curated landscape areas and a series of botanical zones with more than 12 vibrant plant species and 200 trees. It’s the perfect spot for tenants and visitors alike to enjoy a bite to eat or stretch their legs.

Housed in One Allen Center’s “glass box,” and new to the renovated campus, was the addition of the fine dining establishment from Chef Troy Guard Guard and Grace. Guard and Grace’s concept goes far beyond the traditional steakhouse with multicultural flair. The original Denver location received an overwhelming response from locals and travelers and garnered the restaurant’s reputation as one of the nation’s top steakhouses. The bi-level space features a full bar, multiple private dining rooms, as well as two outdoor seated patios where guests can dine on The Acre greenspace.

Also included in the newly expanded campus is the C. Baldwin Hotel, formerly the DoubleTree Hotel.  Inspired by Charlotte Baldwin Allen, “The Mother of Houston,” the luxe hotel boasts 354 guest rooms and more than 14,000 square feet of meeting space. The C. Baldwin features its own signature restaurant, Rosalie, serving bold Italian fare from Top Chef Master Chris Cosentino’s eclectically delicious menu; PalomaBeauty, a non-toxic, luxury nail salon and Sloan/Hall, a high-end retailer know for a carefully curated selection of jewelry, accessories and home goods. Together with the Lobby Bar and premium rooms and suites with enhanced views of the city, the C. Baldwin delivers a uniquely modern Houston experience.

Tenants at Allen Center can enjoy amenities such as an on-site food court featuring Amille’s Coffee Bar, Leaf and Grain, and Salata, among others. They also have access to a 150,000-square-foot  fitness facility, the Downtown Club at The Met, and business services including multiple state-of-the-art conferencing facilities. The completed campus offers downtown workers numerous escapes from their busy days, and invites visitors to take in the fine dining, shopping, staying, and luxe surroundings during their downtown Houston adventure. On your next visit to downtown Houston, make plans to stop by the reimagined Allen Center and take in the extraordinary new offerings.
