In partnership with Houstonia magazine and Beam Suntory, hospitality darling Hotel ZaZa Memorial City is pleased to host the exciting Cocktail Showdown: Battle of the Brands on Thursday, May 26th from 6 – 8pm poolside at The Beach Club.

Top bartenders from an array of beloved local hospitality concepts including Rosie Cannonball, Winnie’s, Reserve 101, Eight Row Flint and Hotel ZaZa Memorial City are working to claim the title for best summer cocktail creation, incorporating a curated selection of Beam Suntory products into their recipes.

Competing Bartenders and their libations include; 

• Zach Wilson from Rosie Cannonball competing with Cruzan Rum
• T Le from Winnie's competing with Roku Gin
• Josh Alden from Reserve 101 competing with Sipsmith Gin
• Savannah Yeager from Eight Row Flint competing with Haku Vodka
• Dimas Estrada from Hotel ZaZa competing with Tres Generaciones

The winning summer cocktail will be determined by event guests as well as a panel of Houston experts, including Houstonia Editor-in-Chief Nandi Howard, Tanner Castleschouldt of Beam Suntory, and Alex Negranza, Nationally recognized and award-winning bartender.

It’s all happening at the glamorous, resort-style Hotel ZaZa Memorial City pool, also known as The Beach Club. Featuring plush benches and chic chaise lounges, this stylish urban oasis is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun with a cocktail.

Tickets are $25 with all proceeds benefiting Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance. Tickets include a sample of each featured cocktail, the opportunity to vote for your favorite libation of the night. The event also features a raffle, live music, and light bites inspired by each beverage.
