Holiday Happenings
The holidays in Fredericksburg are packed with special events for all ages.
Experience a unique mix of German Christmas traditions and warm Texas hospitality at Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights. Each night beginning Nov. 21, visitors can gather with family and friends at Marktplatz for the lighting of the German Christmas Pyramid and Community Christmas Tree. Music begins at 5 p.m. and the 10-minute audio program and countdown begins at 6 p.m. Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights continues through Jan. 7. Note that the audio program will not run on Dec. 1 or Dec. 31, but lights will still turn on.

Take the family for a few laps around Fredericksburg’s only outdoor ice rink – Eisbahn. The rink is located at Marktplatz and is open from Nov. 18 through Jan. 3.
See Fredericksburg’s Main Street light up at the Light the Night Christmas Parade. The parade is held on the first Friday in December and includes an opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus after the parade.
