Open Tech Impacts Houston with Main Sponsor AWS; Next Event: Peru

Open Tech is positioning itself as the congress of the moment, aiming to transform the tech industry through innovation and collaboration.

Presented by World ATC October 8, 2024

The tech industry witnessed an extraordinary event on September 26 in Houston, USA, where Open Tech, an event organized by the World Association of Technology and Communication (World ATC), celebrated its official launch. The event, held at the impressive The Moran Hotel Convention Center, brought together prominent figures from the sector, from executives to innovators, to explore the future of technology through crucial topics such as cybersecurity, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, networks, and the internet of things.

The night began with a gala dinner that gathered influential personalities from the tech sector, creating a conducive environment for networking. Leaders from major companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Peruvian Telecommunications Association (APTC), and Ciudapolis, official event sponsors, had the opportunity to share their vision of the future of technology.

This gala marked the beginning of important relationships that will shape the direction of Open Tech, aligning with its goal of creating spaces for collaboration and fostering meaningful partnerships that drive innovation.

Another major highlight of the launch was the keynote lectures, which addressed crucial topics for the development and security of modern technology. The sessions covered everything from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to new innovations in telecommunications. One of the most anticipated speakers was Luis Adrián Salazar, former Minister of Science, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica, who was the keynote speaker at the event.

Salazar provided insight into the development of disruptive technologies such as cybersecurity, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence from both a business and human perspective.

The event also served as an occasion to recognize those who have played a crucial role in technological advancement. Companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), APTC, and Ciudapolis were awarded for their ongoing innovation and contribution to global technological development. AWS was recognized for its leadership in cloud infrastructure, an essential pillar for the digital transformation of companies of all sizes. APTC was noted for its work in the telecommunications sector, facilitating global connectivity and access to technology. Finally, Ciudápolis, a leader in tech-driven and sustainable real estate solutions, was honored for its focus on creating tech-ecological real estate projects, ensuring greater security and efficiency for people.

After the success in Houston, Open Tech is already looking forward to its next congress, which will be held in Lima, Peru, on December 4 and 5. With an even more ambitious approach, this event promises to gather a broader international audience composed of companies and speakers from the tech sector. It will also focus on key areas of the industry: Telecommunications, Networks & ISPs; Cybersecurity & Cloud; Artificial Intelligence & the Internet of Things.

The event will feature more than 2,000 attendees, exhibition areas, business roundtables to facilitate commercial agreements, over 20 keynote speakers, networking, media coverage, and the Open Tech Awards—an international award ceremony for those driving technological change. Without a doubt, this upcoming edition will solidify Open Tech as a key space for connection, discussion, and learning about the latest technological innovations.
