Tupelo, Fall Edition
Tupelo's October calendar is packed with events that celebrate the season. Kick off the month with the Robins Street Art Stroll on October 4, a day dedicated to local art, music, food, and entertainment. For some spooky fun, Tupelo Community Theatre presents its Haunted Theatre throughout October, and Queen's Reward Meadery hosts Movie Night at the Meadery on October 16.
Later in the month, get a head start on your shopping at Celebration Village, Tupelo’s annual holiday market held October 22-25. The community-focused Fall into Tupelo festival begins October 24 with Chili Fest at Fairpark, where you can sample chili recipes, enjoy live music, and vote for your favorite.
Tupelo boasts three distinct shopping districts. Downtown Tupelo offers unique finds at local gift shops, boutiques, and art galleries, including the historic 120-year-old Reed's department store. The Midtown District is known for trendy boutiques and home furnishings. For national brands, visit the Barnes Crossing District, anchored by the Mall at Barnes Crossing.
The city’s fall dining scene provides a variety of seasonal flavors. At Forklift, Chef Cooper Miller serves modern Southern dishes like grilled oysters and braised Angus short ribs. Indulge in the ginger scallion noodles at Jobos or sample their fall soup offerings. Warm up with Italian-style dishes like Frutti di Mare or the veal piccata at Casa D’Italia.
Tupelo is home to 15 live music venues, from large-scale concerts at the Cadence Bank Arena to intimate shows at The Gin on their back patio and brunch tunes at Brick and Spoon. Visit tupelo.net/events/ to check out all of the live music happening in Tupelo, where it’s easy to find your groove.
For a truly unique experience, visit Queen’s Reward Meadery, Mississippi’s first and only meadery. Here, you can savor small-batch meads crafted with 100% Mississippi honey. Enjoy a tasting in their cozy space or unwind on the lawn with a glass of your favorite mead or their seasonal mead slushies paired with a charcuterie board.
