Where Culture Meets the Pitch, Celebrate Noche Latina with the Houston Dynamo Football Club

¿Listos para una noche increíble? At Shell Energy Stadium, fútbol becomes more than just a game—it becomes a celebration of culture, pride, and unity.

Presented by Houston Dynamo September 7, 2025

This September, Houston Dynamo FC and the Houston Dash are hosting back-to-back matches that invite fans to honor and experience the vibrancy of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year’s Noche Latina, presented by Verizon, is more than just an exciting fútbol game; it’s a cultural celebration that highlights what makes Houston and the global soccer community so unique. Across two nights of festivities, fans can experience the passion and energy of Latin American heritage both on and off the pitch.

Soccer as a Shared Language

Soccer is more than a sport; it’s a language spoken across continents and cultures. For many, it’s a bond passed from generation to generation. Noche Latina brings that global connection to life in Houston—a city where diversity is woven into the fabric of everyday life. Whether you're a lifelong fan or discovering the sport for the first time, Noche Latina is a chance to see how fútbol unites us all.

Two Nights, One Celebration

Whether you cheer for the Houston Dash or the Houston Dynamo, Noche Latina offers a reason to come out and celebrate — twice:

  • September 19 at 7:00 p.m. CT – The Dash hosts the Chicago Red Stars
  • September 20 at 7:30 p.m. CT – The Dynamo take on the Portland Timbers

Both nights will feature pre-match and in-stadium experiences that capture the spirit of Latin America—live music, Latin cuisine, community activations, and a special gate giveaway for all fans: a limited-edition rally towel—while supplies last.

Enter to Win: Por Siempre Sweepstakes

To make the night even more unforgettable, fans can enter the Por Siempre Houston Dash and Por Siempre Houston Dynamo Sweepstakes, presented by Verizon, for a chance to win exclusive matchday experiences:

Por Siempre Houston Dynamo Sweepstakes

  • An authentic Dynamo player jersey
  • Four tickets to the match
  • An exclusive, hand-painted soccer ball

What to Expect

Adding an artistic touch to the weekend, fans will see exclusive hand-painted soccer balls designed by Houston’s own Donkeeboy (Alex Roman Jr.) and Donkeemom (Sylvia Roman). This beloved mother-son duo has created three custom balls, each inspired by heritage, culture, and community. One Dash-inspired ball and one Dynamo-inspired ball will be featured in the Por Siempre Houston Dash Sweepstakes and Por Siempre Houston Dynamo Sweepstakes, respectively. The third, a special co-branded design, will be included in the 20th Season Auction that will run from October 4-19. Their art—often seen in murals across the city — will be on display as a vibrant symbol of Noche Latina’s heart and message.

Both clubs are also taking a grassroots approach to authentically honor the local community. Throughout the month, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will recognize outstanding Latino-owned businesses making an impact across the city.

Why It Matters

Houston is a city built on diversity, and events like Noche Latina remind us why representation matters—on the field, in the stands, and in the culture surrounding the game. As the Houston Dynamo Football Club celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, they’re also celebrating the people and communities who make Houston great.

Because this isn’t just about the game—it’s about who we are when we come together.
