Award-winning costume designer turned best-selling author David Zyla made a personal appearance at Atrium Ready to Wear Friday. Zyla, the author of Color Your Style, was featured in the New Yorker last year and received an Emmy for his work on All My Children. At the event, Zyla offered styling tips on hair color and skin tone and offered high praise to Lupita Nyong’o for her bold Ralph Lauren dress at the Golden Globes. The vivid red in Nyong’o’s look, Zyla said, matched her "personal palate," which is exactly the kind of skill he tries to teach people to master in his book.
