The rain couldn’t stop Fashion on the Avenue from taking over West Ave in Upper Kirby Wednesday night. With tents pitched, fashion enthusiasts gathered around the catwalk for an evening of style benefitting CancerForward.

The runway event showcased retailers throughout West Ave. that included Tootsies, Q Clothier, Rye 51, Langford Market, SAM and lilli, St. Nicola, Stash Co., Ivory Bridal Atelier, Ivannia Boutique, and Suitsupply. From sophisticated summer looks by Tootsies to 1920s-inspired wedding gowns by Ivory Bridal Atelier, guests were treated to an array of designs and trends. The night’s showstoppers were the two shirtless male models for Stash Co.; onlookers cat-called. The after-party was held at contemporary furniture store Ligne Roset.
