Bargain Retailer Five Below Opens Eight New Houston Stores

The five-spot finally gets its due.

First, imagine you're a tween. Second, imagine you're in a store full of stuff just for you (and probably your older sister/brother too)—think crafts and candy, sundresses and shoes, tech accessories and beach toys. Now, imagine they're all priced at five dollars and below. Did your head just explode?

Five Below, the "extreme-value" retailer just moved into Houston in a big way. This past weekend, the retailer opened not one, not two, but eight new stores in and around Houston—three within the city limits at Hedwig Village, Northwest Marketplace, and Willowbrook Plaza, and the others in Missouri City, Copperfield, Webster, Richmond, and Tomball.

Though the store may be targeting teens and tweens, I can't help but think its party supplies and party favors would make said t(w)eens' parents pretty happy too.
