Actress turned designer Sarah Jessica Parker made an exclusive appearance at Nordstrom Houston Galleria to present her Fall 2014 SJP Collection. SJP Fans who purchased from the Nordstrom-Exclusive Collection had the opportunity to have their accessories signed by the “Sex and the City” beauty. Hundreds of shoppers donned their chicest outfits as they lined up for a chance to meet the fashion icon, some arriving as early as 5 a.m.. Roars erupted from the crowd as soon as Parker emerged who gracefully waved to admirers and posed for photos. Not only did she sign items, she candidly spoke to every fashion enthusiast curious as to what they purchased from her latest line. Parker, who played the charming shoe-obsessed Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex in the City”, first debuted her anticipated SJP Collection in February. The fall line includes her signature shoes and handbags in fresh colors such as purples, jewel tones, and burgundies. From flats to boots to heels at various heights, the assortment of shoes reflect the diversity of people that Parker said inspired the collection. “Hopefully there’s a shoe for everyone,” Parker said, “I’m hoping we can meet every customer’s hope, wish, and fantasy.” When asked about her thoughts on Houston, Parker reflected on some memorable moments. “So far it’s been lovely,” Parker said, “Everyone has been so nice and we had a couple of milestones here. We did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge [and] we hit 200,000 followers on our SJP Collection.”
