It might not be Barbie’s iconic hot-pink corvette, but the Barbie Pop-Up Truck is rolling back into town this Saturday.

As part of its Totally Throwback Tour, which celebrates 60 years of the iconic Mattel brand, the truck will be parked outside Baybrook Mall in Friendswood from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m April 3.

While dolls themselves aren’t on sale, the truck is peddling ‘90s, retro-inspired Barbie merch, like clothing and accessories, that range from $12 to $75. Shop T-shirts, fanny packs, totes, denim caps, jean jackets (with the Barbie logo, of course), collectible Barbie Polaroid cameras, and so much more.

This is the truck’s second pitstop in the Bayou City-area—in the pre-pandemic times, it swung by the Woodlands Mall in late February 2020. However, because we are still in the pandemic times, masks will be required, as will social distancing. All payments will be contactless (bring your credit cards, folks), and there will be plenty of hand sanitizer.
