Hop on This Great Deal to Ski Near Denver

Texans can save big on a spring break trip to Winter Park, Colorado.

Looking for an easy, unfettered and affordable way to escape to the mountains? You’ll find your answer nestled in the Rockies along the Continental Divide at Winter Park Resort, just 67 miles from Denver and home to some of the best skiable terrain in North America.

The resort is currently offering a 2020 Spring Break discount package, which can save Texans 25 percent on lodging, lift passes, and other activities, when booked by Feb. 10. The package is valid from March 1 through April 19, 2020.

The resort is easy to get to—Houstonians can fly direct to Denver (there are 15+ daily nonstop flights via United, Southwest and Spirit), catch a light rail to Union Station, which runs every 15 minutes, and board the Winter Park Express straight to the resort. You can be on the slopes in about the same time it would take you to drive to Dallas.

Voted the best ski resort in North America for two consecutive years by USA Today readers, Winter Park boasts some of Colorado’s most consistent snowfall,  3,000-plus acres of legendary terrain, enormous peaks, and 166 trails and 25 lifts.

Take the Winter Park Express from Denver.

The popular ski resort offers activities for all ski and adventure levels and ages, but if those aren't on your radar, a slew of other winter activities on the mountain include guided snowshoe tours, Sno-Go snow bike excursions, on-mountain snowcat rides with majestic viewpoints, snowy horseback rides, snowmobile tours, and more.

And thanks to the Winter Park Express, visitors can skip the rental car hassle and extra cost. It's so convenient, we named it one of our 8 reasons to escape to Denver earlier this month.
