What she loves about RVing: “We are an outdoor family of four—we all love hiking and biking. RVing is the best way to explore US National Parks while still maintaining our independent life, and we love having the freedom to stop in any place that fits us.”

ROBERT HANSON

A memorable trip: “The trip took two weeks: three days of hard driving to get there. Five days in Yellowstone, then on to Mount Rushmore. Crazy Horse is right there, too. The Badlands, and then three days home. Hectic, but we want to go back. We live in a beautiful country that cannot be appreciated from 35,000 feet.”

SHANNON SPANN WALKER

Favorite place to go: “Zuber’s on the Frio. The owners are Laura & Clint Zuber. They are dear friends of ours. This place is magical! We’ve always tent camped with our boys, who are now 20 and 23. We just bought our first travel trailer, and this was our first trip. We will be headed back to the Frio on July 16 to spend our 23rd anniversary for four days.”

MELINDA MORRIS

What she loves about RVing: “We can take our camper anywhere and have a great vacation with our cats and bird. If we want to spend the summer at an RV park on the Gulf Coast of Texas, we call the RV our beach bungalow. If we choose to spend our summer in Colorado or Yellowstone, we call it our mountain chalet. We are not stuck going to just one place. We can park it at a remote state park and enjoy the peace and quiet and hiking. Or we can take it to an RV resort with pools, hot tubs, nightly movies on the lawn, Wi-Fi, laundry. This country is our oyster.”
