Have a Picnic at Hermann Park

When you get nice weather in Houston, you have to take advantage of it. And what better way than going to one of the city’s best outdoor gems like Hermann Park? After a casual stroll along the lakes or before visiting the zoo (located in the park), take the day to the next level by packing a basket, grabbing a blanket, and having a picnic. Pop some champagne, bring some homemade sandwiches, fruit, and a cheese board, and enjoy each other’s company. There are acres of lawn to choose from and picnic tables available on a first come, first served basis. If you’re looking for something a little more active, rent a boat and pedal around McGovern Lake.
