July 16,  The Grand Rounds Golf Open presented by Bayou City Capital, L.P. drew a full field of golfers who enjoyed the breathtaking mountains while making the rounds. Houston Methodist physicians also teed up for the event and non-golfers enjoyed Food For Thought, a cooking class at Maroon Creek Club with Executive Chef Adam Gordon and Houston Methodist nutritionist Kari Kooi. 

The day’s finale took place at Aspen Golf Club, where everyone gathered outdoors to enjoy the mountain views, cocktails, a barbeque dinner, live music and the Grand Rounds Golf Open awards. Houston Methodist President and CEO Dr. Marc Boom kicked off the evening by celebrating Houston Methodist’s growth and progress and its unwavering commitment to unparalleled safety, quality, service and innovation.

The evening concluded with a raffle drawing featuring a necklace and earrings donated by Volobra Jewelry in which all the funds raised from the event benefited the Translational Research Initiative at Houston Methodist Research Institute.
