Blade Runner

Alamo Drafthouse brings its Rolling Roadshow movie series to downtown's Market Square Park for a screening of the classic sci-fi flick, Blade Runner, starring Harrison Ford. By the way, if the film's timeline is correct, the world will be filled with flying cars and human-like robots in just four years from now.

A Fistful of Soul

Shimmy, shake, boogaloo and bounce over to Continental Club for its monthly '60s music night. DJs Stewart Anderson, Joe Ross and Alex LaRotta will be bringing out their collections of vinyl hits featuring music from James Brown, Sam Cooke and other artists, with plenty of deep cuts for true fans of the era. The free event takes place both inside and out, in the bar's ample backyard setting.

Mixers and Elixirs

Science and socializing converge at the Houston Museum of Natural Science as it throws its popular nerd-friendly bash. Attendees can dance to music from Austin cover band The Crush and fuel up on food truck bites outside.

Nicki Minaj

The rapper/singer heads to Houston after releasing her third album, The Pinkprint. Minaj, whose Toyota Center concert is the second stop on a one-month tour, is joined by boyfriend and R&B singer Meek Mill.
