Houston Dynamo vs. FC Dallas
June 23| BBVA Compass Stadium
In the soccer world, nothing’s more exciting than a rivalry between two geographically intimate teams battling it out for glory, local bragging rights and, most importantly, territory (figuratively). Don’t miss a chance to witness the clash of these two titans, both tied at 24 points in the MLS season so far, and help the home team show those Dallasites who’s No. 1 in Texas.

Summer Symphony Nights and more
Thru July 4 | Miller Outdoor Theatre
Summer is for music outdoors and free things, and for the next week and a half, there’s a little something for everyone. First up is the Houston Symphony, which has lined up some powerful programs for its annual Miller Theatre sabbatical, including performances of Beethoven’s revolutionary “Eroica” symphony, Mozart’s merry Horn Concerto No. 2 and Tchaikovsky’s dramatic first piano concerto. Then there are the daytime performances of classical chestnuts by some of the youngest (and most talented) musicians in town. And if ’80s disco is your thing, don’t miss a concert by the Village People, for a trip down macho memory lane.
