The only annual event that rivals the Texas Renaissance Festival for people-watching is the Galveston Historical Foundation's Dickens on the Strand. The Victorian extravaganza only lasts one weekend, though. Lucky for us, local photographer Daniel Kramer, a frequent Houstonia contributor, headed out to Dickens on Saturday with six students from his photography class at Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Studies to take in all the pageantry. Here are the scenes that Kramer and his students captured on the streets of the Strand during one of the "photowalks" he's been leading for a decade now.
