Hamilton Will Return to Houston Next Year

If there's such thing as "breaking news" for musical theater, this would be it: Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton will return to the Hobby Center in 2020.
We deemed last year's tour stop well worth the wait, but if you weren't one of the starving hyenas who managed to snag a ticket, this is your chance. The "story of America then, as told by America now" is one of eight productions announced today for Broadway at the Hobby Center's 2019-20 season.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's wonderful (if bizarre) Cats opens the lineup, followed by other darlings of the Great White Way including Dear Evan Hansen, Hello, Dolly!, and Fiddler on the Roof. Hamilton pulls up the rear next August as the season closer.
"With so many hits direct from Broadway, we continue to bring the best of Broadway to our community," Hobby Center Foundation President Fran Macferran said in a statement.
Current subscribers may grab tickets by renewing their subscriptions beginning today; individual tickets sale will be announced in advance of each production.
