Rapper and activist Trae Tha Truth is turning his own city-sanctioned holiday into a weekend of family-fun events. The action-packed weekend includes the grand opening of his Howdy Homemade Ice Cream, a concert at White Oak Music Hall, a family friendly day at Aveva Stadium, and a comedy show at the House of Blues. The three-day festival of events will also include back-to-school giveaways and prizes.

Mark Normand will be at Improv Houston this weekend, starting Thursday evening.

Get a few laughs from standup comedian Mark Normand at Improv Houston this weekend. The comic recently self-released a one-hour special, Out To Lunch, on YouTube, which has gained over 1.2 million views. The New Orleans native was also coined the "best young up and coming comic" by Jerry Seinfeld.

For some wholesome family fun, Bank of America is hosting Screen on the Green all summer long at Discovery Green. Get outside, and enjoy a movie night with family and friends. The movie is completely free, and guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. This weekend, Raya and the Last Dragon will be playing.

Trap Wine Fest is making its way back to Houston for the third time. On Saturday, the festival will transform Grooves Restaurant & Lounge into a vibrant wine festival. The event will offer 20 different wines to taste and trap music from some of Houston's best DJs to complement the lively event. The immersive event will also include games and activities, as well as food from gourmet chefs in the city.

The adventure reveals itself through 4 acts, with a wide range of foot tapping melodies, elaborate costumes in vibrant colors, innovative choreography showcasing local talent, mind blowing visuals combined with magical lighting and sets, woven together in a spectacular Bollywood Production.
