Learn the ancient art of belly dancing and get a great workout in at the same time! Professional belly dance performer and instructor Sahira is hosting a class at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center where students can learn about the world's oldest style of dance. 

Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, 5601 S. Braeswood Blvd. The Belly Dance Workshop will be held on Sunday, August 29 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the JCC. Lagoonfest Texas Introduces Floating Cabanas

Lagoonfest, the largest lagoon in Texas, is improving the visitor experience by introducing floating cabanas to its list of features. The floating"aquabanas" are linked together to create a pool at their center.

Lagoonfest Texas, 3240 Lago Mar Boulevard, Texas City. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through Sept. 5. Ticket prices start at $20 for adults and $15 for children. Children age 2 and under get in free. For more information, visit www.lagoonfesttexas.com.

Aerie's Houston Takeover: Body Empowerment Event

Fashion brand Aerie is hosting a body confidence and empowerment event this weekend. In partnership with Food Truck Promotions, the retail powerhouse designed a specialty "Aerie Groove Treat Truck," that will hand out free clothing and free baked goods from female-owned businesses in the Houston area.

JH-Town Weekend: James Harden & Friends Charity Concert at Bayou Music Center

James Harden's JH-Town weekend makes an epic return to Houston. The surprise charity concert is set to be a star-studded event, with a lineup of A-List celebrities including Travis Scott, Lil Baby and more. The proceeds from the concert will benefit Harden's 3TheHardWay Foundation.

Brewsology Beer Fest at Houston Museum of Natural Science

If you want to feel the nostalgia of a middle school field trip, but all the perks of adulthood, Brewsology Beer Fest is exactly where you need to be this weekend. The event will feature dozens of local craft breweries and cideries and gives attendees access throughout the museum, including the planetarium and science demonstrations.
