What's better news than the fact that Bramble is now serving lunch during the week? How about the fact that chef Randy Rucker is now also offering $1 oyster Mondays? But first, a little more about that lunch...

The up-and-coming restaurant, which just so happens to be one of our best new restaurants of 2015, now offers a mid-day menu from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. Monday through Friday that includes classics like a béchamel-smothered croque monsieur and Bramble’s signature wood-grilled burger. And of course, it just wouldn’t be elevated Southern cuisine without shrimp and grits; Rucker's version features stone-ground grits and wood-grilled shrimp with a Creole sauce.

While the restaurant changes its dinner menu daily in order to utilize the freshest seasonal and local ingredients, the lunch menu will be the same throughout the week, so you can count on your favorite dishes to be available. You'll also find a few dinner favorites here, including Rucker's roast chicken brined in sweet tea (which we recommend with a side of creamer peas cooked down with wild boar).

Just because you can get roast chicken and charcuterie boards at lunch doesn't mean dinner should be missed, however; that's when you'll find a new offer for Mondays: $1 Gulf oysters on the half shell served with lemon, cocktail sauce and something Rucker calls "comeback sauce." The weekly oyster special is in addition to Bramble's popular buttermilk fried chicken and burger night. Sure, Mondays might be a drag, but at least Bramble has great food specials to kickstart the work week.

Bramble also recently installed two new flat-screen TVs—one at the bar and one in the back dining room—for both national and local sporting events. Want Bramble for your big parties?
