Jeez, guys, you're kind of dark. Restaurant closings, untimely death and the controversy of the Karbach sale were some of your favorite things we wrote all year. So why weren't some of our stranger posts, like the one relating garlic gelato to Eastern European vampire folklore, or the one detailing the common thread between one Chinatown restaurant and the world's oldest extant piece of cheese, more popular? Tough crowd.
Luckily for all of us, there was good news, too. You were super stoked about new ways in Houston to eat breakfast, dessert and with feline friends. (You still have a few months to wait for the last of those.) And if Anthony Bourdain comes back to Houston to talk about his admiration for its diversity, we promise we'll be there once again.
