It's Friday. We'll be giving you news from beer land every Friday. Cheers.

Wicked Boxer Brewing is turning one! Maybe we'll get a cake smash when it celebrates with a party from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at its Cypress brewery (16326 Mueschke Road, #E10). There'll be a food truck on site from noon to 3:30 p.m., a bouncy house, corn hole, and anniversary glasses available.

To honor the birthday, Wicked Boxer has a few new beers, which will be released at the party. Big Dumb Animal is a blackberry barleywine at 9.2 percent ABV. Woo baby. Pillow Blanket is an imperial stout at 8 percent ABV. Then there's Welcome to the Party Pal, a peanut butter stout; Cousin Eddie, a gingerbread IPA at 7.9 percent ABV; and Oooooh Fuuuuuuuudge, a chocolate stout at 5.6 percent ABV.

Still need plans for tonight? Watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation outdoors at City Acre Brewing Co. at 3418 Topping St. Enjoy a Griswold family dinner, get your picture taken in the holiday photo booth, and take part in a Toys for Tots drive. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and get a free pretzel and queso. The party starts at 7:30 p.m. Just don't get caught blousing— browsing.

A collaboration between B-52 Brewing and Urban South Brewery of New Orleans has produced Double Stargazer, a beer conditioned on "chocolate sandwich cookies." You know what that means. For your information, the original Stargazer from B-52 is a stout conditioned on cacao nibs, cacao powder, Dutch cocoa powder, Madagascar vanilla beans and milk sugar.

Eureka Heights is rolling out 16-ounce cans of Palate Fatigue, a double dry-hopped IPA they've had in the taproom. No word yet on when it'll be available, but keep glued to the brewery's Facebook for more.

Who wants an English barleywine aged in bourbon barrels? Great Heights will be releasing this boozy concoction soon. Also on tap from Great Heights: World of Pain, an imperial stout.

Sigma has a hazy double IPA coming at you. Called Nude Tayne, it's made with Mosaic and Ella hops and comes in at 8.9 percent ABV. The release is December 22, in four-packs and draft only. Get it.

The brut revolution continues. Saint Arnold got label approval from the TABC for a brut IPA called Das Brut IPA. According to a representative, it's a special release you should expect over the next few weeks.

Back Pew is making an English ordinary bitter called Crusader, which is named after the brewery's sponsored rugby club the Kingwood Crusaders. It won't be ready for a few weeks, says the brewery.

Looking for some dope glassware? 8th Wonder is selling some found glasses from their collaborations with hip-hop artists Paul Wall, Bun B., and Slim Thug.
