Houston’s Chef Aaron Bludorn of Bludorn Restaurant is joining the James Beard Foundation’s 2021-2022 Taste America culinary series. The Taste America series features events in 26 cities nationwide, celebrating local restaurants and the effort to rebuild a more sustainable and equitable industry.
Chef Aaron will be joined by guest chef Nick Wong of UB Preserv to cook a multi-course meal for guests to enjoy along with beverage pairings, all curated exclusively for the event. The intimate gathering will begin with a reception featuring signature welcome beverages by national sponsors Rabbit Hole Distillery and White Claw Hard Seltzer. Aside from an evening of signature bites and sips, guests will also enjoy a complimentary swag bag.
The Taste America culinary series supports participating local chefs and restaurants directly and drives support towards industry-wide relief. 65 percent of all tickets sold for the event in Houston will benefit Bludorn Restaurant, with 35 percent of proceeds supporting the Foundation’s national programming, including the Open for Good Campaign. The Campaign helps independent restaurants survive the COVID 19 pandemic, helping them to rebuild a stronger business and thrive long term.
The Taste America culinary stop in Houston happens Tuesday, February 8 at 6:30pm. Tickets are $300 per pair and are available by tables of two, four and six. Visit the event’s website for more details.
