On the heels of its last open house in CityCentre, Alexan debuted another mid-rise community in Houston this month. Uptown's Alexan 5151, named for its address on Hidalgo Street, showcased its new digs for a crowd at its private March 8 grand opening party.
The Galleria-area complex is home to 397 luxury studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments and amenities including two pools with cabanas, a fully-equipped fitness center, private screening room, patios, and mezzanine spaces with 22.5-foot ceilings. Unit features include private patios and balconies, quartz and granite countertops, farmhouse kitchen sinks, and–in some–islands, spa-style bathrooms, and wine chillers.
Construction began in July 2015 and finished last fall, developer Trammell Crow Residential reported. Floor plans vary, but 867 square-feet is the average unit size. Rent begins at $1,450 for a studio and tops out over $4,300 for a two-bedroom mezzanine.
At the grand opening celebration, guests were treated to private tours, refreshments from Lisa Hendrick Catering, music by DJ Fly White, and acrobatics over the water by aerialist Leylen.
