For this month’s party, we’re inviting Houstonians new, native and temporary to chat about all the many jobs and projects they’ve taken on lately. There’s Chrisdyann Uribe, who moved to the Bayou City from Austin to report on our traffic, and all its attendant insanity, for Fox; native Houstonian Justin Simien, who created the brilliant, binge-worthy Dear White People on Netflix; Canada’s The Property Brothers, who remodeled a pair of Galveston beach houses (of all things) for the current season of HGTV’s Brother vs. Brother;  Ken Hoffman, who recently jumped from the Chronicle to write for CultureMap, shaking the local media world to its very core; Deborah “DEEP” Mouton, Houston’s wonderful new poet laureate; and Deshaun Watson, brought on to play the seemingly cursed position of quarterback for the Houston Texans. Please help us, Deshaun. Please.
