Speak Up HTX Needs a New Home

A conversation club for non-native English speakers is so popular it's outgrowing the Houstonia house.

Houstonia is proud to announce a partnership WITH A NEW PROGRAM, Speak Up HTX, a conversation club for non-native speakers of English. In it, members practice their language skills with native speakers in a fun, relaxed environment. "There is no cost to join, and everyone, regardless of background or proficiency, is encouraged to participate," says Spencer Vogel, the Speak Up HTX club president.

The club was just featured on CW39’s NewsFix and was a rousing success in its inaugural summer, so much so that it is now searching for a larger home, in hopes that Speak Up HTX might grow. If you would like to join the club, know someone who does, and/or know of a large, centrally-located venue that might allow the club to host its weekly meetings, please contact them.
