Who's the bigger diva, Trixie Mattel or Max the Sea Lion? You decide.

Welcome to Perfect Party, where for the second time this year, we are inviting a Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner to join us, because what party wouldn’t be made better with Trixie Mattel on the guest list? No party, we tell you. (She appears June 30 at House of Blues.) We can’t all be fabulous drag queens, of course, hence the invite for Texas Medical Center President and CEO William F. McKeon, who nevertheless can speak to a fabulous project, Houston’s new TMC3 campus, which is slated to break ground next year and is expected to bring 30,000 jobs here. Michael Che is coming to town (June 20, White Oak Music Hall), and if you love him as much as we do on SNL’s Weekend Update, you’re not only going, but tuning into the Emmys in the fall, which he’ll be hosting with co-anchor Colin Jost. We’ll put Che next to KPRC 2’s new reporter, Emmy-winning Brittany Jeffers, formerly Miss Nebraska, who arrived here from KTVT 11 in Dallas in what we can all agree was a good move. Then comes local artist Hector Guerra, because we adore his colorful, sugar skull–filled “Houston Es Amor” billboard on I-45 near Patton, part of a city-beautification project by Houston First. And finally, timed with the Houston Zoo’s After Dark adults-only party (June 21; theme, “Sip and Sea”), we’re inviting Max the Sea Lion, who is almost a year old, and insanely cute. Now, who’s the bigger diva, Max or Trixie? Hard to say; we’re taking bets.
