The Harris County Clerk’s Office, in partnership with the Houston Rockets and MTV, rolled out a gray carpet at Toyota Center during the inaugural Vote Early Day on Saturday, October 24, to encourage early voters to cast their ballot on the last weekend of Early Voting. Mayor Sylvester Turner, Kam Franklin of the Suffers, and Clutch the Bear were on hand to encourage Houstonians to get to the polls in the final week of early voting. Over 1 million voters have gone to the polls, surpassing the 2016 general election early voting turnout and on track to break even more records before early voting closes Friday, October 30.
