Houston Shakespeare Festival presents Shakespeare Night at the Movies at Miller Outdoor Theatre

In their 47th Anniversary season, the Houston Shakespeare Festival has 5 curated films on display at Miller Outdoor Theater. Each performance features a live pre-screening lecture by theatre historian and HSF Executive Director Dr. Rob Shimko. The lecture will begin at 7:40. For Saturday's showing, HSF will play Romeo + Juliet.

Texas Zydeco Festival

A music festival of one of the South's most coveted music cultures. The festival, brought to Houston by Camz Food Truck & Entertainment Park, will feature five bands, two DJs and will be hosted by comedian Valentine Thibodeaux.

Shout Hallelujah! A Gospel Musical Comedy at the DeLuxe Theater

Shout Hallelujah is set in a historically Black church. This fun-filled musical comedy takes twists and turns as it faces challenges.

The 8th Wonder Comedy Hour

8th Wonder Brewery's Comedy show is back this weekend with their infamous comedy hour. This weekend, come ready to be entertained by local comedians, Zahid Dewji, Caleb Lush, Alicia Stevens, Justin Smith, and Stacy Anderson. The show will be hosted by Josh Stokes. 

Sunday, August 8. Doors open at 5:30 P.M., show begins at 6:00 P.M. Tickets are $5 -$8. The Secret Group, 2101 Polk Street. 

Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park
