While the rodeo is one of the main attractions in H-Town this month, if you’re looking to dodge the insane traffic near NRG this weekend, we’ve got some other options for you around town. There’s live theater with the riveting play Amerikin now playing at the Alley Theatre, R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan is in town for her Heaux Tales Tour at 713 Music Hall, and comedian Faizon Love is bringing hearty laughs to the Improv all weekend.
Breathe in the outdoors and support a good cause with the AIDS Walk at Sam Houston Park, or bury your head in a good book at the 5th annual All The Books author event.
Here, we’ve rounded up the best five things to do in Houston this weekend:
AIDS Walk Houston
The AIDS Foundation Houston is fueling up to fight back against AIDS with their annual AIDS Walk. The walk is back in person this year, following a virtual option due to COVID in 2021. But this year, the foundation is back bigger and better with in-person and virtual options, and encouraging participants to not only walk, but run, swim, bike, or participate in any other activity that they love to do while fundraising for the cause.
