Traditional Southern grandeur is coupled with timeless holiday decorations at the Southern Living Showcase House, the first project in West University in conjunction with the magazine. Designed and built by Stone Acorn Builders with decor by Edwina Alexis Interiors, the four-bedroom, 4,341-square-foot house at 2817 Talbott St. has dream home details like a study with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a library ladder, barn doors off of the kitchen, and lots of indoor-outdoor living spaces.

The showcase is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Nov. 1-2 and Nov. 8-9 with a full schedule of chef's tastings and decorating and design demonstrations.

Tickets to the showcase are $10, with proceeds benefitting Operation Finally Home, which provides soldiers and their families with mortgage-free houses.
