Take It to Fall: Camo

Forget those hideous cargo shorts, camo is getting a high-end makeover for fall.

Clockwise from top left: Emporio Armani camo strap chronograph watch, $245; Eton of Sweden camo bow tie, $98; Prada camo sneakers, $690; WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie camo shopper tote, $345, all available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Camouflage was one of this past summer's biggest trends and it's set to get even more massive for autumn and winter.

Abandon all thoughts of atrocious, poorly fitted cargo shorts or that hunting army gear that you used to adore so much back in the gap, and give camouflage a chance. From sweaters to ties to boots camouflage has got it covered. With the new camo looks you can be as dressy or as casual as you want to be. In fact, camouflage’s range has been extended beyond that of the conventional and drafted into that of the unpredictable, like a tuxedo jacket or a pocket square.

Trust me, and forward march into the new season with some untraditional camo prints. Get down and soldier on!
