Houston's Best Shops, in One Place This Weekend

Houstonia is gathering dozens of Houston's 101 Great Little Shops for a special, one-day-only shopping experience in the Heights.

By Sarah Rufca Nielsen March 25, 2015

To our utter delight, the readers of Houstonia have been having as much fun checking out our March feature on Houston's 101 Great Little Shops as we had putting it together. We've heard from readers who keep the issue in the car so that any spare moment around town can turn into an impromptu shopping experience. One fan even mapped every store listed using Google Maps for extra convenience. (You go, whoever you are! But we've also mapped every store under their individual listings online, FYI.)

But, real talk here: If you want to make it to each store on the list, it's going to take a while to cross them all off—the journey will take you from Conroe to Galveston and everywhere in between. To make it easier, we're gathering dozens of the shops that made our list for a special, one-day-only shopping experience in the Heights.

The Top Shops Pop-Up Party will take place this Sunday, March 29 from 11-3 at Bell Heights, and will include 48 of our favorite stores, including Myth & Symbol, Mio Boutique, Mighty Aphrodity, M. Wiesenthal, Murder By the Book, Memorial Antiques & Interiors and Mrs. PK & Oz—and that's just the ones that start with M.

Tickets are $15 and include complementary bite-sized crêpes from Bonjour Creperie and live music, in addition to all the shopping. Or upgrade to a VIP ticket for $25 and enjoy bottomless mimosas from Brahan Wines while you browse. (Drinks are $4 for everyone else.)

Though not every shop on the list could attend the event, many more are showing their support with some insanely sweet raffle prizes, including a $1,000 gift card to Lucchese, an Annabel Ingall tote from Á Bientôt (value: $450), a custom shirt from Hamilton Shirts, a weekend tooling around in a brand-new Jaguar, $500 towards an organic mattress from New Living, and many, many more. Best of all, 100 percent of all raffle ticket and à la carte mimosa sales benefit Dress for Success Houston.
