We've got just the news your Monday needs: Houston's spa scene is about to get more exciting. (Or maybe more relaxing is a better way to put it.) West Ave has announced that Austin's popular Milk + Honey day spa and salon will open this fall in the second-floor space above Del Frisco's Grille, most recently the location of the restaurant Trenza.
Since the first Milk + Honey opened in Austin's trendy 2nd Street District in 2006, the concept has expanded to four locations in the city and another in Boston. The new location in West Ave will be the brand's first move into Houston.
The concept is known for their luxurious services, multi-sensory approach to wellness and commitment to all-day relaxation; and has won awards from Austin Monthly, the Austin Chronicle and Austin Fit Magazine as well as being recognized by Elle Magazine in successive years as one of the top 100 salons in North America.
The West Ave space will offer "15 treatment rooms, six manicure and pedicure stations, eight salon chairs, private steam showers, and well-appointed locker rooms and lounges" in its 8,249 square feet, per the press release, not to mention the brand's signature made-in-Texas line of organic bath and body products and soon-to-be-released skincare.
The bad news is we'll have to wait until fall to book a treatment. Getting through the rest of the week is up to you.
