All-American Girls: What to Wear for the 4th of July

Stars, stripes and style all over.

By Beth Muecke June 29, 2015

The 4th of July has always been a favorite holiday in my family. When I was little, my father took me, then later my children, to his club for a day full of rides, cotton candy, swimming, contests, dancing and, of course, fireworks.

Houston has many festivities to choose from on this upcoming celebratory day including Freedom Over Texas,  the Houston Symphony at Miller Outdoor Theatre, an afternoon at Bayou Bend or activites at CityCentre, just to name a few. Many of us like to gather with family or friends for private parties, meet up at fun bars and restaurants or jam to concert music. The possibilties for celebration are endless, as the choices of what to wear!

Let's start with a little "biker babe' look.

Red, white and black works too! Try this look for a more dressy event.

Here's a bohemian/Aztec look with fringe, necklaces and a flag scarf. Love the face paint.
