Style Staple: The Black Blazer, Part 2

A few months ago I purchased this black tuxedo jacket by Tahari at a thrift store in Venice, California. Since then, I have been styling it so many ways with so many outfits! Just like I "travel" my little black dress, I love finding new ways to travel this utility piece as well. Whether it's chilly outside or air-conditioned indoors, a quality black blazer can be a style-staple in every woman's wardrobe.
In my first look I'm channeling my inner school girl. Adding a black jacket to any skirt and white blouse can alter the whole look to preppy or business.

Every woman has a fun unique piece in her wardrobe that speaks for itself and doesn't need a lot of accessorizing. These colorful geometric print shorts only need solid colors: the blouse, shoes, statement necklace and a black jacket finish the outfit.

I never like to copy anyone's look, but I make an exception when it comes to Gwen Stefani. I absolutely love everything about her style. I recently saw a photo of her wearing torn boyfriend jeans, lots of gold chain belts, studded booties, a fedora and see-through top. I just added my jacket and voila!

I have worn this sequin skirt out to parties with many different tops. I gave it a little more refined look with a sequined collar, statement necklace and my structured black blazer.
